Calendar view like in iPhoto '06?

In iPhoto '06, it was possible to put in the left sidebar an actual monthly calendar which showed you when photos were taken on a particular date by making a boldface indication showing that there were photos on that date, and if you clicked on that date, or that month, you'd get all the photos of that date or month. Is there some way of doing this in iPhoto '08?
