IPOD not recognized by Windows Media Player

MY IPOD is no longer recognized by Window Media Player--neither version 10 or 11. It once was recognized then I added my digital camera to my compute and all the sudden it thinks my camera is my IPOD. I disabled the camera, now the computer just doesn't recognize that an IPOD is attached. My IPOD works fine with I TUNES. Please advise as to how I can fix this.

You say computer doesn't recognize that iPod is attached then that iTunes works with iPod. ????

If iTunes works with iPOd then computer is seeing that iPod is attached.

As for Windows Media Player I didn't know iPOd ever worked with it.

The IPOD did work with Windows Media Player initially. That is how I added the CDs I had ripped to the IPOD. The IPOD works fine with ITUNES. Windows Media Player no longer recognizes the IPOD.
