iCal sync

iCal sync

I use iCal and Address Book.
I sync with Plaxo.
Fine.
Is there a way to sync Plaxo for Mac and Thunderbird/Lightning,

so to have a sync between iCal/Address Book/Plaxo/Thunderbird/Lightning ?

iMac Intel 3.06 Mhz, Mac OS X (10.5.7)

I found this with a quick web search (Google is your friend):

http://www.plaxo.com/downloads/thunderbird

Plaxo doesn't appear to have a similar plugin for Lightening. Posts on Plaxo's forums generally report using Google Calendar as a workaround. Check their forums for details.

Been there first.
It's Windows only.
Google is not always your friend. 🙂

No, it's not Windows only. I just installed in it my copy of Thunderbird and it works just fine (at least as much as I can test without having a Plaxo account).

Google is still your friend. 🙂

Puzzling indeed.
I downloaded it.
It gives me a "plaxotbird;xpi" file that no application in my iMac won't open.
Notably not recognized when trying to open it with Thunderbird. What gives ?

Thunderbird -> Tools -> Add-ons

Install button

Choose the plaxotbird.xpi file to install.

Reading the instructions on the download page is your friend. 🙂

Found it.
Alas it syncs contacts only, not calendar.
My post was about calendars. Reading the
title of the thread is your friend. 🙂 🙂

Oh : and tried the Google calendar too : never found
how you sync it with Plaxo…

I provided information on synching between Address Book, Plaxo and Thunderbird. If you wanted help only on iCal sync, you could perhaps have been more clear.

and tried the Google calendar too : never found how you sync it with Plaxo…

Not iCal only, the whole set.
