Want to fax without a landline

Hi Everyone,

Moving back to NY and OPtimum online looks really attractive for high speed cable internet access. I'd like to not get a landline installed at all. Is this possible? Are there recommended incoming/outgoing fax services through my computer that are pay per fax etc? I would use my all in one to scan in documents to fax out of course.

Services with an introductory free period and then
a monthly fee include those with the ability to send
the fax to someone's fax machine (on phone line)
while you send and receive faxes by email...

Not sure if that is such a fine idea if the other party
also has a high speed internet connection & no
land lines... Try a search: 'fax over broadband.'

The main problem is with having to fax to conventional
facsimile machines or from them; when using a computer
and not using a phone modem/land line configuration.
Since not everyone who uses a fax sends or receives
them with a computer or cellular data phone wireless.
These additional pay services should be unnecessary.

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂
