Porsche/Becker CDR 210 Blues

I have the above unit installed in my car and for the life of me cannot consistently burn disks to use while driving. There is also a 6 CD changer. The rep from the Becker co. said the machine is old and cannot play mp3s, only CDs burned from the factory. Yet, I have a couple in the magazine that play just fine (although I'm not sure why). How do I use itunes or Toast - which I also have- to reliable create CDs? What format would be best to use? I've tried switching media and didn't get much farther. Thanks in advance!

For your player you need to be burning Audio CDs. So when you go to burn in iTunes you get a pop up and one of the check boxed is Audio CD. Make sure you pick that and not any of the other choices like MP3 or Data disc.
Also, the slower you burn the less errors get written to the CD and the better players can handle them. You might try one at 1x to see if that improves your success rate. I normally burn no higher than 8x for audio CDs regardless of why my burner and CDR blank can do maximum.
