Periodically when using my mouse the cursor shoots to one corner for no apparent reason. Anyone ever experienced this? This is particularly irritating since I use Exposé. It's been doing this since day one BTW. Any suggestions?
Yes, I have also had this happen, but rarely. I've had it happen on a surface that is uneven, has a crack/split, is has differently dense/translucent or I get to the edge of the board I keep the keyboard and mouse on. Sometimes it is because grime has built up in the area where I use the mouse, think skin oil and dust. Hope that helps.
I presume you mean you have a USB mouse attached? If so, what brand and model? Some brands have downloadable software that gives you more control over the rodent.
If it's your trackpad doing this, post back--there could be other issues at play.
My old Logitech MX1000 mouse was prone to do this, which was somewhat ameliorated after one of the many driver updates that had the option to reduce sensitivity. My newer MX Revolution and MX Air don't have this issue anymore.
It is an Apple mouse. It does it with both my Apple wireless and Apple USB mice. It doesn't seem to matter what surface either, it happens on both my desktop at work with the fake wood grain and my mousepad at home. I'll be moving the cursor towards something I want to select and it will dart to the bottom of the screen or a lower corner.
