Cracked iPod Touch Screen. Can Apple replace it?

The iPod works fine, but it has a crack in the screen that I would like to get replaced. Will Apple do that? And if they can, how much will it cost?
If they can't, where can I get it replaced and how much will THAT cost?
someone said that at Apple, it might cost around $60, is that a good estimate?

Note about servicing iPods.
"Service may not be available if your iPod has been damaged due to accident or abuse"

Warranty does not cover accidental damage and also Apple can refuse to repair it out of warrarnty if it is damaged.
