Logitech Z-550 5.1 speakers
I have a 24'' iMac, is there any way to get the full 5.1 surround out of these speakers or am I just stuck with 2.1?
iMac 24'' 2.4GHz, Mac OS X (10.5.7)
I'm sure there is nothing wrong with your speakers however you need to provide us some clues. Exactly what type of connection is it connected to from your imac. In order to get 5.1 sound out you need:
1. A cable similar to this:

2. The source material must be 5.1 in other words if you are listening to a stereo recording that's what you are going to hear. If you are watching a DVD that has the sound in 5.1 then you should hear 5.1.
