MacBook Pro Firmware

What firmware am I on and how do I figure that out? Also am I up to date on that? How can I find out if I am up to date?

Please do not tell me that if I have no software to download on the Software Update that I am up to date and also please do not tell me that I am up to date with out telling me how.

You can see a list of current firmware version by model (and links for downloading updates, if needed) here:

Notice this statement in the article, which applies to you (I added the underline): +In some cases _System Profiler may report later versions of firmware than those listed below; if this is the case, your computer does not require any additional firmware updates_. However, if your firmware version is lower than the one listed in this table, you should upgrade by following the link provided.+
