Accidentally formatted my nano...

I accidentally formatted my nano instead of that hard drive i wanted to. I tried many solutions I found here, resetting, trying another USB port etc.
Can I get iPod software from somewhere? My nano doesn't appear in iTunes or in My computer window, so updating won't work.
Please help me!
