A solid amber light indicates a possible internal failure on The Time Capsule.
Try a hard reset to see if this will help:
Pull the power cord from the Time Capsule
Hold in the reset button and CONTINUE to hold it in while you plug the power back in
Release the reset buttom after approximately 10 seconds.
If you continue to see a solid amber light after this, the Time Capsule is in need of repair.
