Podcast 'artists' appearing in music>Artists

It has been like this on iPod for as long as I have used one, about threes years now. It should not do this in iTunes if the podcasts are downloaded with iTunes. If the episodes are downloaded outside iTunes then added to library, then iTunes thinks the tracks are music files not podcast files so this would be expected.

I have the same problem and it dosn't matter if I use iTunes or for instance MediaMonkey. All my podcast are in the Music-> Artist list (very annoying) Is there no solution for this?

All podcast are both in Music (artist/songs/album) and in the Podcast folder. I only want them to be in Podcast folder. It can't be so hard to fix.... Just add a filter to music folder (exclude GENRE= Podcast) pls 🙂

In my case, everything looks right in iTunes. Each Cast in their rightful place, categorized neatly by Podcasts, etc. However, on my iPod, the podcast comes across in the Album field, with all the casts as songs.

The weird thing is that I didn't have this problem until a couple months ago. The only thing I can think of that's changed is that i check the preference 'Copy music to iTunes music file when adding to library' in order to fix another little problem.

Same problem here. Wish to **** my iPod knew the difference between a audio podcast and a song, like iTunes does.

Can't be that hard to fix!
