You have tried everything included with this link including making sure all your computer's drivers are up to date, and the iPhone driver is installed and the Apple Mobile Device Support is started?

i've tried different usb ports, a different cord, unhooked my mouse and keyboard, restarted the pc. i read alot of problems with this in this forum and tried all the links and fixes. even uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it.... nothing seemed to work.... very frustrating...

i went to my device manager. looked up my usb controllers. it finally popped up unknown device. i rightclicked on it and did an update driver. i googled iphone usb driver download and found a driver and reinstalled it. its working now, but cant figure out why it was working fine at first then all of a sudden cannot detect the iphone.
