Minimum Intel requirements for iPhone

Hi. I would like to know the detailed requirement for windows.. I understand that I need to have 1GHz intel or AMD processor to install iTunes. How about 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor with 1024x600 resolution notebook?

iPhone, Windows XP, Intel Atom 1.6GHz

The detailed iTunes requirements for Windows hardware and software are included on this page:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

The basic hardware requirements stated are:

"+A PC with a 1GHz Intel or AMD processor+
+Screen resolution of 1024x768 or greater+
+Playing videos purchased on the iTunes Store requires an Intel Pentium D or faster processor+"

It would seem that your machine doesn't meet the screen resolution, and possibly not the processor requirements.

What is your concept of "minimum requirement"? They are published by Apple. Since you read them, you are in as good a position to determine whether your setup meets them as anyone else.

The listed minimum requirements are what they are - they state 1024X788 and you have only 1024X600. As far as the Atom CPU, I really don't know if it is equivalent to an Intel or AMD as far as functionality (aside from rated clock speed).

Since iTunes is free, you can download it an see if it installs yourself. However, even of it installs, there is no guarantee it will function properly at all times if the minimum hardware and OS requirements aren't met.

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I am considering to buy a new notebook which is smaller and lighter. The problem is that, it uses intel atom processor which I am not sure whether itunes works good with it. As far as I know, atom is the slowest among all intel processor. That's why I asked whether intel atom is the minimum for the intel processor mentioned. About the resolution, it's a typo error. The notebook that I'm eyeing is 1280x600 resolution.
