The Anagram Transition

I am a Keynote '09 user, and fine it extremely effective, especially the new Magic Move. However, I still haven't figured out how to use the Anagram transition. What is it supposed to do, and how do I achieve that? Thank you.

Make sure that the font, text box location on slide, and font size are the same on both slides.

I use this transition often in my presentations, and I use the straight across more than the arcing, and it works just fine.

What I usually do is just make a copy of the first slide, and then edit the text on the second one so that everything is the same so that the anagram transition will work.

Hope that helps!

stef,

Have you noticed that some of the letters in a "true anagram" will fade out and fade into their new location rather than just doing the shuffle? Sometimes all the letters fade out and back in and completely fail the anagram effect. I haven't been able to nail down what causes the occasional failure.

Try an anagram, like "Finding anagrams" transitioning to "Grandma gains fin".

Try the transition with the same letters but in a different order, or with different words altogether. For example: "ABCD EFGHI" on the first slide and then "IHGFE DCBA" on the second. Then you will see what it does.

If you use different words from one slide to the other, it will rearrange the letters that are used on both slide and then fade out the letters not needed and fade in other letter that are needed. For example try "Testing" on the first slide and "Guide" on the second. Since there are no "T,s,t,n" in Guide, those letters fade out, but the "e", "g" and "i" are moved.

Not saying that it is a great transition, but it does have a does have some uses.
