Full charge capacity (mAh): 1975
Cycle count: 111
Condition: Check Battery

The above indicates a failing battery. With only 111 cycles, that seems to be premature failure. If there's an Apple Store nearby, make an appointment and go in. Else, try calling AppleCare.

I have a similar issue. When my MBP runs on its own battery, it randomly shuts down . Sometimes when the battery is at 70% , sometimes at 30 % and sometime when I connected it with a charger, the % charged is 0% for about 30 mins . Is this a battery issue? Thanks!!

Made my appointment went to the Genius Bar and got told my MacBook is older than a year so I need to buy a new battery for $129. Quite disappointing. I refuse to buy a new laptop battery after just one year. In the past year I have purchased one MacBook Pro, one iMac and three iPhones and this is the level of service? Suffice to say that for $129 Apple has cost itself thousands in future revenue. As much as it pains me to say, I have begun shopping for a Windows based laptop to replace this Macbook Pro which is rendered virtually useless with only 30 mins of battery life.

I have the exact same issue with my 14 month old Macbook Pro.
I got the same answer from Tech Support.
To me it's beginning to sound like a common problem

As you can see, my information is very similar. Except that I have even LESS cycles than JeffreyMacBook and LESS of a Full Charge Capacity. I really do believe it is yet another defective Sony battery. I don't have AppleCare however, and Apple claims that my One Year Limited Warranty has expired. I do not know what to do; suggestions? I have been considering taking it to my nearest Apple Store (4 hours away) to talk to a Genius. Any better options?

Unless you have Applcare, you're SCREWED like me! After only 14 months and 150 cycles my battery lasts LESS than 30 minutes. After numerous calls to Apple's tech support and battery specialists (who were quite RUDE by the way) they refuse to admit these batteries are defective. I think it's OUTRAGEOUS that you spend $2500 for a laptop with a battery that lasts 1 year and you have to shell out another $129.00 yearly for their defective batteries! I've been a Mac user for over 20 years and until now had excellent products and service, not any more! 😟

Same issue. The clue is the "Check Battery" message. Frustrating thing is that I have a good charge available. It isn't the cells that seem to be going bad but the microprocessor in the battery. Have my appointment with Genius in the morning, but expect to be told to buy a new battery.
