What's a GM Seed?

Hi There

I am a registered iPhone developer. Can someone tell me what a GM seed is? I only have one iPhone and don't want to screw it up - I normally test with my iPod Touch by my app needs to be run on an iPhone.

Macbook Pro (Unibody) 2.53Ghz (15") 4gb RAM - Leopard, Mac OS X (10.5.6), iPhone 3G 16gb - iPod 30gb - IPod Touch 8gb - iPod Nano 4gb

Meant to post this last night - but as you will no doubt guess from the next line I was somewhat distracted...

iPhone 3.0 GM Seed installed with zero problems (I did it via restore just to be safe). 02 (in the UK) activated my MMS about 10 seconds (automatically) after the phone re-activated in iTunes.

Great update - love the new features - However O2 can get bent if they think I am paying £15 per month for internet 3G/Wifi tethering with a scrawny 3.5gb allowance - that double the price of my Sky Broadband and I have no restrictions.

Checked the O2 website - please be aware that MMS costs you 4 texts from your allowance and 24p per message when they are spent! Methinks O2 is going to make a small fortune from iPhone owners this year!

Good work Apple! (And thanks again to the posters clarifying what a GM Seed was)
