This has probably been answered a million times already, but I'm asking either for a link to the answer or an answer. How do I get my music from iTunes to my iPhone. I'm using iTunes 8 and for the life of me can't get them from my PC onto my iPhone. It goes through the Sync process, but nothing is moved over.
Ok, I don't have a "tab", what I have is a tree down the left side of iTunes that has Library, Store, Devices and Playlist. When I connect the iPhone to my computer and open iTunes, it goes through the sync process, but Music is not included and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get it included in the sync to get the music on to my iPhone. Driving me crazy. LOL
You should have reviewed the iPhone's User Guide, especially when it seems you have never synced an iPod.
You select your iPhone in the iTunes source list under Devices to view the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences and make your desired selections under the various tabs.
but it IS that easy, and if you would take the 5 minutes to read the manual, you'd have your answer. but of course, like all people who should never be allowed in front of computer, you just want someone else to do it for you instead of trying to figure stuff out on your own.
(so, technically speaking, while this post does not help, my other post does. you're just lazy.)
I'm not lazy. Don't jump to conclusions. When I click on my device and on Music and click on Sync, nothing happens and it syncs everything BUT the music. And I did read the ***manual and it doesn't match what I see when I open iTunes.
After selecting your iPhone in the iTunes source list, all the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences will be available in the main iTunes window.
There are various tabs such as Summary, Info, Ringtones, Music, Video, Podcasts, Applications.
Thank you very much for helping Allan. Something must have been wrong with the iTunes software. I switched it from Automatically sync when the iPhone is connected, to manual, clicked apply, then switched it back to Automatic, and now sync is in process. As a side note, I'm on Windows 7 and that may have had something to do with it. But it's working now, and why it didn't before when I did exactly the same thing is beyond me.
