Color fades when scrolling in Safari 4

Since upgrading yesterday from Safari 4 beta to Safari 4 proper (and from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7), a strange things happen: when I scroll up or down in Safari, the color fades. It returns if I stop and click outside the app (i.e. on the desktop background), then recurs if I again scroll in Safari. Didn't happen before the upgrade, and it's quite annoying. Any suggestions?

Hmm? I just cured it again but in a different way.

I'm on dual screens (second screen is a 22" Benq).

This time I dragged my Safari from the Benq (which is my main screen) to the iMac screen and tried it. No probs! However, when I dragged it back to my Benq, it also no longer has the problem.

Dunno how long this will last of course.

I'll go try some Fast User Switching and some Sleeping.

Ok. Sleep didn't bring the problem back, but Fast User Switching did. All I did was switch to the login window and it came.

Now to cure it again....

Ok. Worked again. Dragged the Safari window to my iMac's screen and back again and the problem has gone away.

Just as a test, I also tried dragging only on my Benq screen but that didn't work. Nor did switching off Spaces.

So, quick fix (until your next FUS), is to drag the Safari window to another screen and back.

Is everyone else with this problem using dual screens?

As a matter of fact, switching to another user and back didn't show the problem. Looking back at my configuration at that time: the external screen was not attached. Over lunchtime, I went to the Login Window using Fast User Switching with the external screen attached to my Macbook Pro and it re-appeared when I came back to my session. Your workaround of dragging to the other screen and back cured it for now.

this started happening to me yesterday, but i had already been running safari 4 (final) for about 24 hours. i seemed to start soon after i upgraded cosmopod, so i don't know if there is a connection.

the repair permissions fix worked fine for me (so far), but now it just happened when i was in the finder! I clicked to open a word document, and half of my finder window where the document was became washed out and fuzzy.

this seems like a serious issue going on.
