safari, no clickable links, wth?

ok I was eager to try safari, the beta was less then stellar so want back to 3. so I install the new 4, and now, 😟 is there a secret on how to use the darn thing? cause when i first start it, I cannot click on anything within the browser window, no links whatsoever, doesn't apple want me to use their browser? 😟

anyone know how I can fix this? and yes, I'm using Firefox to submit this to apple unfortunately.
