Remote earphones for 1st gen ipod touch??

*I was looking up the new remote earphones, and when I looked at the compatibility, it says only says 2nd gen for the ipod touch. Can it work with 1st gen ipod touch, because thats the model that I have.*

I'm sorry... the new earphone cant work with neither 1st gen iPod touch nor 2nd gen Shuffle...

ok so theres a couple things that you should now when it comes to situations like this. First, you can look at the headphones on the products website in this case Apple, look at the connecters and you will see three white lines on them and compare them to yours, which has two. look into the headphone jack you see two pins, in the new ones you have 3. which will be capable of doing good with the head-phones. Just letting you know that.
