convert color to gray scale with preview

Hi,

Is there a way to convert a color digital photo to gray scale 300 dpi using preview.

I have gimp but haven't yet figured out how to make a pdf with it, plus preview is very nice.

Use "Adjust Color" from the "Tools" menu and move the "Saturation" slider all the way to the left.
