Screen Sharing when remote has Zoom on

Problem, I use Screen Sharing to connect to a remote Mac. The remote Mac is zoomed in using Universal Access. How do I remotely from my Mac unzoom the remote screen? ctrl-scroll doesn't work, it only zooms my screen. Not the remote one.

I tried to ask this at the store, but since I didn't have an apt with a genius I was out of luck.

I've been dealing with the same issue since I started using Screen Sharing. Since Apple hasn't done anything about it I'm trying to.

I put together this little AppleScript app that zooms out the screen for you. Right now you have to be able to launch it manually. Its usually possible to launch it remotely if its on the right side of the dock. You can also execute it via SSH in Terminal if you know how to do that.

I'm working on a companion app that will run on your local Mac and do the SSH-ing for you seamlessly. 😀

Well, one thing I'm thinking of is maybe it's not Control-scroll that activates the zoom on the other computer. It's possible to set it to something else by choosing a different key in System Preferences. I'd expect if you are screen sharing that you'd need to using the keyboard shortcuts that are setup on the shared computer.

Haven't had a chance to test that idea out, but you might check System Preferences on the other computer to make sure you are using the correct keys for that computer when sharing its screen.
