iPhone Safari line breaking bug, and unimplemented CSS

I found a bug in the iPhone Safari line wrapping logic. It breaks between the following two chars: ?"

I tried to solve it with CSS (white-space: nowrap) and HTML (<nobr>), but both do not work.

A live example: http://www.webdevout.net/test?0q&raw

Any idea how to solve it?

Can anyone running OS v3 see if it happens with it as well?

Bug reports get you feedback...checking the diffs gets you current. That's why these tools (and others - also coffee) exist - to help reduce speculation, tail-chasing, etc.

Suggest you get into the habit to help you get with a leg up on your development, save your time, etc.

Good luck w/your projects.

I filed a bug report, as you suggested. Still, typically when I face a problem I look for feedback and help from other users. Experience shows that way is much more useful in most cases.

That APIDiff is not accessible to me. Is that a list of API changes or a general changelog? It sounds like the former, where you wouldn't expect to see a list of Safari bug fixes.

Just another tool in the process of sleuthing bugs. First you look where you can, then you process what you've found, grooming your instincts, then you narrow suspects. Like any bug hunt, you can't find if you don't look (asking someone else "Did you see that?!!" isn't my idea of looking) 🙂

Do you have the Safari 'Debug' util menu installed?
