QuickTime Pro: Logo/Watermark Playback

It's been a while, and I'm have trouble remembering how to apply logos or watermarks to a movie created in iMovie 08. QuickTimeKirk helped me out before. Anyhow, here's the issue ...

I create a project in iMovie, export it to Quicktime as a .dv file. I then apply the logos/watermarks to the video at the appropriate places and select the "Straight Alpha" transparency option within the Properties menu. When finished, I think that I'll supposed to again export to .dv to "burn" the logo/watermark files into the movie; HOWEVER, when I do that and replay the new .dv file, the logos/watermarks lose the "straight alpha" effect.

Am is saving it wrong? Should I be "exporting for Web"? or am I neglecting to check a box in the Properties menu (e.g., "single field" "deinterlace" and/or "high quality"). Someone, kindly advise. Thanks in advance

I converted some of the photos to .mov, yet, I think, the logos/watermarks do appear as .png in the video properties. After I added the logos/watermarks I saved the projects, which auto become .mov files. Now, the logos appear correctly within those .mov files, but when I transfer to .dv, they appear with the removed borders and backgrounds.

Because the logos/watermarks appear correctly in .mov, does that mean I can ignore the re-export to .dv step that you mentioned the first time we emailed in Jan.?

The other problems is that the .mov file is larger than the 1 GB YouTube limit, is there any format or steps I can take to make it fit the parameters?

Sorry, but i don't understand what "add your logo/watermark on the FINAL DELIVERY FORMAT" means? Are you saying I need to add the logos/watermarks somewhere else in the process too?

Can't thank you enough
