iTunes/DLNA music and Playlists

I have an ix2 with a large library of music managed by iTunes. I just got a Denon AVR-4310CI A/V Receiver which is able to see my music library on the network and play songs via DLNA. Problem is when I navigate the receiver to the Playlists folder, it is empty. But I know I have several Playlists defined in iTunes. They're apparently not visible via DLNA/UPnP.

So I must assume Playlists are different between DLNA and iTunes. Is there an easy way to share the Playlists, or at least make iTunes playlists visible to DLNA/UPnP servers?

The DLNA server or your Denon would need to be able to parse the XML file that iTunes creates for other devices and applications to be able to access such information. Consult the documentation for your Denon and see if it has any compatibility with iTunes (I don't find any mention in the owner's guide or Denon's support information, but I might have missed it). Otherwise you'd have to look for some third-party utility that could read the iTunes XML or the XML of a playlist export and convert that into a format the Denon could read, whatever format that might be.

Regards.
