Sprint Mifi & MacBook Pro 17" 2009 connection troubles

I'm able to connect to the Sprint MiFi just fine from an iPhone 3G and a MacBook Air, but am quite unable to make it work from a MacBook Pro 17" 2009. I can see the MiFi network in the Airport menu, and can select it, but have no network connection.

Anybody else experiencing this? Any workarounds?

Got a similar problem. I can connect to it fine as it comes out of the box, and actually surf the internet using the MiFi, but if I attempt to configure any kind of security, it's all of a sudden no longer accessible. I can see it in the list of networks, but can't access the menus through the browser interface or surf the net. Network preference pane tells me I'm connected with an IP address, but I can get no response from the device and any attempts at web surfing results in "You are not connected to the Internet" page.

Im sure you have resolved the issue by now, but I had the same exact problem. What happened is when you set up the security, the password you create is just for administering the device. The password to login the device to get on the web is 12345. Not what you set it as. You have to go in and change the 12345 to a new password is you wish, or you can just leave it.
