Disk in Use Message
Problem: When I try to eject my iPod after sync is complete, I get the message that "Disk is in use and could not be ejected. Try quitting applications and try again." This happens when only iTunes is running. I have deliberately not opened any other programs or browsers, or have anything running in the background. I have done the "Force Quit" thing which shows only the iTunes and Finder windows open. I have "Force Quit" the iTunes from the menu as well as "Quit iTunes" from the drop down menu in iTunes. I have tried Relaunching the Finder and then ejecting the iPod from the Finder ... all with the same message. This started happening a few versions of iTunes back ... my updates are done regularly by "Software Update". My only workaround is to quit all applications and shut down the computer then disconnecting the iPod. Is there something not set correctly? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I have no problem ejecting my 1GB shuffle.
