LPD printing - Dynamic IP address
Hello!
Situation:
I have a PC desktop, running Windows XP SP3. There is an EPSON Stylus printer attached to it.
I also have a Macbook. Both computers are in the same local network. I have set up an Line Printer Deamon (LPD) printing. So now I can print from my macbook to the EPSON printer attached to PC. Everything works fine.
Problem:
My PC has a dynamic IP address. Every time I turn on the PC, it has a different IP address. Because of that, each time I have to re-add a new printer in Mac with the newly assigned IP address.
Question:
How can overcome this dynamic IP issue? What could be the solution, so that I would not have to add a new printer every time I want to print via PC to EPSON.
Thanks in advance!
