Aliases Rename

When you rename a file, does the alias of that file rename too?

No.

If not, what is the best way to go about this quickly?

There is no quick way of doing it. The alias will still be able to find the original if the alias was created in the GUI. If it's a symbolic link, it won't be able to.

no, it does not.

not sure what you are asking. if you want to rename both the original and the alias there is no automatic way to do this. you'll have to either rename the alais separately or recreate it after renaming the original.
