Time Capsule / Wifi always disappearing from my network

More often than not .. my TC 500GB disappears from my network.
I constantly have to reboot (sometimes more than once) to regain the signal and get internet connection.

internet connects fine when i connect ADSL cable direct to my PowerBook.

but this is becoming a more common problem ... as it interferes with my back up as well as my ability to connect to the internet

any hints / suggestions?

Here are some of the recent logs (from airport utility0 - of this helps

dear all,
i'm using time capsule dual n 1 Tb but some problems are arising.

when i turn on my imac and time capsule, the imac finds time capsule and the imac makes correctly the backup.

ALWAYS when the backup finishes after some times my imac isn't able to see the time capsule.

to reconnect again to the time capusle i must disable the network, then enable the network.

after this operation the time capsule become visible again.

it's not an imac issue because the same things happens with my powerbook?

my time capsule is connected via ethernet to an adsl router modem.

what happens? the same things happens with a time capsule 500 gb

thank you a lot in advance

sincerely
fabio

This is a fun one. My $30 DLink router works after 8 years. NEVER drops. My cheap-o $20 Netgear router I gave to my parents after 5 flawless years works. Yet my premium Apple Time Capsule has recently started disappearing until I unplug it and reboot.

Happens with both laptops running 10.5.8 and 10.5.7. Happens with 802.11n on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz.

Scanned all nearby WIFI networks and set the time capsule to a unused channel.

I haven't tried plugging in wired yet so I don't know if the entire thing is locked up or it's just the wireless component.

No new wireless items in the house. Nothing has changed.

If this happens with a cheap product, you can shake your head and go "shame on me, I'm cheap" and move on. But at $300, this is just unacceptable. A premium is paid because you have better things to do with your time than mess around with a computer.

I have been having the exact same issues. My TC worked faultlessly for a year, and then two months after the warranty expired it has started to act up.

My Wi-Fi drops out every 5-10 minutes and requires a reboot and sometimes a re-set (which wipes the drive, great). I have been into the local applestore with the TC and they had nothing to suggest, just that they would sell me a new one. I have now given up on the Wi-Fi and just use the TC as a very expensive ethernet hub / external hard-drive.

Does anyone have any suggestions???
