Safari can't find the Internet plug-in.

there is a problem with my Safari 4 whenever i go to facebook. whenever a message is sent to me in the facebook chat, a message comes up the states the following-

Safari can't find the Internet plug-in.

Some content on the page "Facebook/Home" can't be shown because its MIME type in unspecified.

its really a pain and i'ld like to fix it,

MIME is usually related with Windows MEdia Player

I had the same problem on my cousins Vista machine. Fixed it with the Flash update on http://www.apple.com/safari/download/plugins.html

This isn't a fix, but a workaround--click on Options in the chat list in Facebook, and uncheck the option to play a sound for new messages. This fixed the problem for me, so it seems to be related to however Facebook plays the sounds. None of the plugins on the page linked above worked for me, but this at least gets rid of the error message.
