Need iDVD 3.0/4.0 free download

Need iDVD 3.0/4.0 free download

When we upgraded our G4 from OS 9.2 to OSX, we purchased OSX from Apple. For some reason, iDVD was not included(?). Is there a free version of 3.0 or 4.0 available for download?

It hasn't been free since the launch of iLife3 but is sometime bundled with a machine or OS purchase. Does your Mac have DVD burning facilities, if not, that may be the explanation.

Yes, we have a SuperDrive. I just looked at the OSX box to double-check (10.3), and iDVD is not included.

It may cost you then in which case either trawl eBay for iLife4 or I would recommend purchasing iLife5. It really is cheap for what it does.

I have a similar problem. I had to re-install panther, and my iDvd didn't re-install with the rest of the software. I also have a superdrive, and iDvd came with my ibook when I first bought it. Does it come with the Tiger upgrade dvd?

Very likely you will be able to reinstall iDVD with the original install disks that came with your computer. Tiger is not available as an upgrade but only a full-version purchase, it won't upgrade your version of iDVD.
