seriously. i have 701 items in my trash because there is one file, "---.fpbf" that says it is locked and therefore i can't empty my trash.

i have tried to unlock it (command I, click on unlock), move it (no dice), and cut and paste various other commands into the "terminal" thingy in applications.

nothing has worked. please, someone tell me there is an easy solution to this problem?

Launch Terminal and copy & paste these commands:

cd ~/.Trash

Press Return

ls

Press Return
This will list of the contents of your trash, so you can if there's anything you need you can drag it out. If not, follow these instructions to rebuild ~/.Trash:

Go to /Applications /Utilities/Terminal and launch it.
At the prompt, copy and paste this command
sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash
Press Return.
You will be asked to enter your admin password. It will be invisible.
Enter it and press Return.
Log out and back in or restart.
