Hi. first time poster. I lost my iphone last friday and I really wanna see if I can recover or view my contacts from my last sync or restore. is there any way I can do this with my mac. I'm running 10.5.7 if that helps anyone understand. please help. and is this even possible? thanks
Since you have a Mac, the iPhone supports syncing contact info with the Address Book application on your Mac. If you don't use the Address Book application for storing contact info, what do you use for storing contact info on your Mac?
I just sync my iphone and thats it. I was wondering if I could see my contacts or anything like that without the phone. I've never imported or saved anything to address book. are the contacts stored anywhere when you do an iphone sync in itunes?
What do you use for storing and accessing your contact info on your Mac? If nothing, I'm curious how you get by without doing so. This is very common with Windows users, so you must be a recent convert. 😉
Contact info is included with your iPhone's backup, but I'm not aware of a method for accessing this data from the backup except for restoring an iPhone with iTunes from the backup.
Have you looked in the "Address Book" application on your MacBook? I'll bet that all of your contact information is there; that's simply where it goes when you sync your phone on a Mac.
