Since you have a Mac, the iPhone supports syncing contact info with the Address Book application on your Mac. If you don't use the Address Book application for storing contact info, what do you use for storing contact info on your Mac?

What do you use for storing and accessing your contact info on your Mac? If nothing, I'm curious how you get by without doing so. This is very common with Windows users, so you must be a recent convert.

Contact info is included with your iPhone's backup, but I'm not aware of a method for accessing this data from the backup except for restoring an iPhone with iTunes from the backup.

Have you looked in the "Address Book" application on your MacBook? I'll bet that all of your contact information is there; that's simply where it goes when you sync your phone on a Mac.
