P2 Card and the Duel Adapter

I have been trialling the Duel Adapters for a Log & transfer set-up at the university I work. It's working well, except for one thing. The only way I can get the station to recognize a new card, after I have logged and transferred from another card, is to do a full restart of the station.

Logging out or simply restarting FCP won't do it. Anyone have an idea of how I can avoid the full restart?

The Duel Adapter is so hit an miss. Works for some, not for others. Some have to restart (me!), others do not.

This is why I keep my Powerbook G4 around...that PCMCIA slot.

Wish i could be more help. IT was much more stable under Tiger. 10.4.11.

Thanks Shane. That's what I thought. Now if there's an update coming that will sort this out? It's no biggie, just a bit inconvenient...

Well, here's the thing. You AREN'T supposed to install the drivers for the Duel adapter if you are running Leopard...they are in the OS somewhere. If you do then issues pop up. Perhaps that is the issue, you installed the drivers?

But there are issues with more than two gigabytes of RAM.

I did install the latest P2 driver (the one david mentions) but not the driver for the adapter.

The transfer process works without a hitch, but a new card requires a restart.
