iPhone Backup "Freezing"

I'm not sure if this is the right forum but anyway after maybe a week of not syncing my iPhone I plugged it in and now just stops when it is Backing up the data and there for not syncing music and all my other data. What should I do? I've restarted my computer and iPhone and I tried syncing another iPod and that worked?

Hi Drew,

Do you see any messages in iTunes when the issue occurs?

Make sure the iPhone is directly connected to the USB port on the Mac Mini using the cable that came with it. This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1286 provides other tips that will rule-out USB connection issues.

Also, try removing photos from the Camera Roll on the iPhone as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3603

I got it working by having my iphone directly plugged in instead of using a USB extender cord.

My phone did the exact same thing after the last update. The reason my phone was freezing is because my phone was locked. Now every time I sync, I have to enter my 4 digit passcode to get into the iphone. I read someplace that this was done for security reasons. Hope this helps.
