    Jabra BT8010, headset and headphones. A2DP sounds good, volume on the jabra works. When I pause it's almost like it wants to do something but usually just glitches. Pauses for a split second and then plays again, but sometimes with lots of hesitations. I have to pause on the ipod and resume play and that usually irons the stream out. I had the sony bt adapter (awesome) on my gen 1 touch and the remote profile worked like a charm. Getting back to that functionality on my 2G touch without a dongle would be ideal. Mic support would be icing on the cake. I'm hoping it's coming soon.

    i just DL the 3.0 upgrade solely for the Bluetooth functionality. my intent was to connect to my new Chevy that supports bluetooth connectivity. the touch will not connect to the vehicle, nor to a plantronics bluetooth headset. anyone else able to connect to a GM vehicle succesfully using the new bluetooth functionality. this is BS i was looking for a wireless solution and removing a aux cable from the dash of my car.

    This may or may not apply to this thread. I have a Tritton AX Visor which works great and WAS integrated nicely to my original 16G i-phone running OS 2.4. I recently upgraded my i-phone to 3.0 and now my Tritton AX Visor now longer stays connected to the phone via bluetooth. It goes into an endless loop of connecting, losing connection, connecting. Is anyone else having problems connecting to a Tritton AX Visor via bluetooth with the new i-phone OS?

    Thanks

    Well in case you didn't read the other posts there's alot of bugs with the BT right now, in most cases the iPod isn't picking up the BT device at all. we think apple might be workin on this but were still awaiting some kind of news from them

    Am I correct that ONLY Stereo Headphones will work with this One-Way Bluetooth ?? anything with a Mike ( like my Plantronics ) and it will never get discovered ?

    Motorola S9 and S9-HDs have mics... so no, you assumption wouldn't be correct (technically).

    As for the Platronics 510...

    {quote}Plantronics headsets (with the exception of the Pulsar 590) support only the Handsfree (HFP) and Headset (HSP) profiles. Most Bluetooth phones support these profiles as well. However, most computers and audio devices do not. You cannot use a Plantronics Bluetooth headset with any device that does not support both the HFP and HSP profiles. {quote}

    I'm thinking that applies to a LOT of other headsets out there.

    I have S9-HDs for music, and the 510 for phone... neither works well for it's "other" function.

    All I can think of is... MAC implementation of Bluetooth is probably the same as the Windows implementation of bluetooth... and that is, drivers made by another company (WIDCOMM/Broadcom).

    The iPod Touch doesn't have the room for those drivers, so it needs custom drivers (and i'm guessing for other reasons also).

    iPod/iPhone != MAC.

    As for headset vs headphone profiles... I think they should eventually allow both, headphone profile for music, headset profile to use with Skype ad the voice memo function (among others). How they do it (if they do it)? who knows... it's all speculation.

    Anyone having issues with sound quality on a stereo device? I ran each of the betas on my 2G touch and noticed that some of the static and poor sound quality improved as the betas advanced. I use a jensen WT210 in my car. They are seriously 13 bucks on Amazon and the sound quality is decent.

    I did manage to connect to my Sony DR-BT21G headset occasionally. For whatever reason, turning off WiFi does help. And you have to click the device name to initiate the connection, it won't pair automatically.
