Power Adapter effect on trackpad

Hi

I recently bought a genuine 60w apple power adapter off ebay. When I use this adapter I notice that there is an effect on the trackpad. The pointer stops and starts and occasionally there is a pop up menu as if I had tapped with two fingers. My trackpad firmware is up-to-date. Has anyone else any experience of this or can shed any light on the matter?
