MMS

Hi All! I've just updated my iPhone 3G to OS 3.0 and I don't understand how I can send a MMS? If I create a new message there is no option where I can insert an image. In the photo album there is also no option to set an image as MMS. Any ideas?

Thanks and regards,
Andrej

Hi kbell25! Thank you for the quick answer. Actually, I'm not an ATT customer, as I'm not from USA and we don't have ATT here 🙂 More over, I bought my iPhone in another country where it was soled without any locks. I think, you are right and the MMS feature is still not activated in the current release. Well, we will hope it comes later this summer.

Regards,
Andrej

I got it! It seems you have to restart the iPhone several times (two times in my case) before MMS button will be available in the new message dialog. Here are settings for Simyo in Germany. You should put it in General -> Network -> MMS section.

APN: mms.eplus.de
Username: mms
Password: eplus
MMSC: mms/eplus
MMS Proxy: 212.23.97.153:5080
MMS Max Message Size: (blank)
MMS UA Prof URL: (blank)

I have a 3gs officially unlocked (from Italy). I entered my MMS setting for Orange UK and the MMS camera icon was not shown in Messages.

I turned off the iPhone and turned it back on again and then the icon appeared.

Orange UK settings can easily found with a goole search. Just note that http address is the MMSC and the 192 Ip address is the proxy.
