Unknown Error 28

When restoring my iPhone, the message comes up that the iPhone could not be restored, unknown error (28).

What's the problem?

I have a similar problem....Iphone is stuck with Apple Logo and a circular wheel across it / can't do anything with it and iTunes won't see the iphone at all.....ideas ?

I had the same issue and sorted it by simply popping out the SIM and trying again.

Worked perfectly after 10 failures.

Ok, after trying hour per hour to restore my iPhone and getting error 28, I switched off my iPhone and after 2 hours I tried again to restore it. Now it worked. Hurraaaaa! I am a full person again 😉

I do not believe that this could be a hardware problem.
Too many error 28 postings since releasing System 3.0.

Today it happened again. My iPhone rebooted by itself. And freezed ...

Yeh, tip doesn't work for me either....Error 28...however, it do go by one time and I got an Error 9.

Have an appt. tomorrow at the Genius Bar...let you know how it goes.

For those(like me) who have the Error 28, the problem is a bad dock connector on the iPhone.
You Must replace it.
