Where are the (Parentheses) on the new keyboard?

we have { } but no ( )

whose dumb idea was that?? ( ) are COMMONLY used!

3g, iPhone OS 3.0

Are you in the section with the mathematical symbols? Mine has the alphabet keyboard, then I hit the numbers in the bottom left and I get the numbers and some common symbols, then if you hit the #+= symbol you get the {} that you are describing. Same behavior as 2.x.

Are you sure you don't have some foreign language keyboard. I just updated to 3.0 and I have the regular ( ) right in the middle of the keyboard when I press the 123 key.

And actually I just check English US, English UK and Español and all of them had the parens right in the middle.

I can get ( ) symbols in all the keyboards EXCEPT email--not the same email keyboard as 2.x I can get the {} in all keyboards, but it is the normal parentheses ( ) that have gone missing

Click out of the address fields. They show up in the email body area.

THAT got it! Muchas Thankas!! Email body field and they show up. Thought I was there, but didn't know it was different anyway--learned something!
