Connect to iTunes to use push notifications

Hi,

Anytime I try to use an app with push support I receive a popup when I open the app which says "connect to iTunes to use push notifications". How can I fix this? I enabled notification settings in the settings menu.

My phone was activated legally - via iTunes - and is on the AT&T network. I'm in the US.

Thanks!

MacBook, iPhone OS 3.0, N/A

I have had the same problem. Around the time I updated to OS 3.1, all of my stored passwords (including voicemail) were lost and PUSH notifications stopped working (as well as getting the aforementioned pop-up whenever I opened an application with PUSH including AIM, IM+, Sportaculaer, etc).

I had synced my phone with iTunes at least 5 or 6 times since the problem started with no relief. I have just completed a full RESTORE and this appears to have solved the problem. I have not received any IM's so I have not verified that PUSH works, but at least the pop-up insrucing me to connect to iTunes is not coming up.

Unfortunately, this is the only solution I have found.

I have a 3GS, totall legal, not jailbroken, not unlocked, nada. For maybe..2 weeks, everytime I open facebook, words with friends, anything that has a push notification I get this message: Connect to iTunes to use push notifications" much like all of you. I've tried restoring...changing wifi settings...changing the push notifications to off, soft resetting, then turning them on..nothing. I'm real sick of my 3GS acting up...I've synced and everything. 😟 heeeelllp!
