Clean up iPhone icons

There's no one-button 'clean up' option. You have to move them individually. If you know how, stop reading here 🙂. If not:

Press and hold an app icon until the icons start shimmering. You can then drag an icon around the screen, or drag it to the next screen by dragging it off the left or right edge. Press the home key when you're done

What would be really useful would be if it were possible to arrange the iPhone screen layout from iTunes. I always find moving the icons on the screen fraught and always end up with at least one where I didn't want it.

Think of it as like one of those puzzle games in which you have to move squares around with one empty space to play with (and I was always useless at those, and usually ended up smashing the thing, so maybe that's not such a brilliant idea)

Go to a blank page and move the 4 icons off the bottom bar to the blank page. Return to a page from which you want to move icons, move up to 4 icons to the bottom bar, change to destination page for the icons and move them from the bottom bar to the page. Repeat as needed. When all done, go to the page where you temporarily stored the 4 original icons from the bottom bar and return the 4 icons to the bottom bar.

Why not ask them to include it in the next update?

There s an option in the settings called reset screen layout. It rests the screens to factory setting. Funny though that my address book always ends up on the second screen...
