Command+E & Eject?

I've been using Leopard since I got my computer in November 2008 and everything runs beautifully except a minor annoyance - Command+E doesn't eject anything anymore (it worked fine for a few months). My eject key still works on CD's/DVD's, I can right click and choose Eject "...", I can choose Eject "..." from the File menu, and I can drag the disc/HD/Disk Image to the trash, but it is so much faster and easier to hit Command+E.

What I've attempted to do is change the keyboard shortcut from Command+E to something else. First I tried Command+` and got nothing. Next I figured I would try a ridiculous combination and went with ^⌥⌘` (Control Option+Command`) and it worked! But heres the funny thing: If nothing is selected and I select the File Menu, it shows that shortcut ( http://twitpic.com/7pokh) but when I selected a Disk Image or drive, it would still show the Command+E shortcut! ( http://twitpic.com/7pol3)

I would love for the keyboard shortcut to function like its supposed to again but I'm stumped.

No luck. When I select it, the keyboard shortcut changes.

I don't understand.

I inserted a DVD. After it mounted, I clicked it once to select it and then pressed Cmd-e and it immediately ejected.

If this does not work for you, try creating a new account and trying it. It has to be some 3rd party software or some other shortcut that has been assigned.
