Today I downloaded a new app. No problem during the purchase. I had to sign in to my account and that worked fine. Now I want to leave a review for that app, but iTunes keeps asking my for my password. It's like it doesn't recognize what I am typing in. I left a review using my iPhone and didn't have a problem signing in from there.

Is the server too busy from everyone downloading iPhone 3.0? This is frustrating. Any ideas?

Well, I'm a little less stubborn, so I went in and did reset my password, and now it works. I tried this earlier when I first had the problem and it didn't (it's Apple's solution to just about everything!). My guess is they fixed the problem, but you need to reset your account for it to "take".

Cheers!

Use 'report a problem' to tell iTunes about those clicks. I had a music download some months ago which had a jump in the middle and I was given a refund. They eventually got a new download from the record company and I was able to get a decent copy.

Frustrating not to be able to comment on Apps, I bought Quickoffice yesterday - on my iPod Touch it shows as Quickoffice, but on the phone it has the Shazam icon! (Otherwise the app is fine).

Just got a reply telling me to reset my password. I already tried that, and it didn't work then so why should it work now? guess I'll try it when I get home again this evening and can access my iTunes on the mac. but I'm not holding out hope that will solve the issue.

Plus, judging from the wide range of replies people have gotten I would say that this isn't going to work. I dont think the reps who are replying fully understand the issue and that it needs to be elevated to the REAL tech support and not just the folks who are hired to walk newbies through how to change their password.

Same problem here - hope the guru's know about this problem and are working on it.

Well, it's good to know that I'm not the only one with this issue. I looked at the app in the App Store to see my review that I left with my iPhone, and it's not there. I downloaded another app, and entered my password and it worked. But it won't let me leave any reviews.

Oh well - just won't leave any reviews. I'm sure the developers will like that.

Same problem here, tried two days in a row to review the new Sonifi App by BT (Which is AMAZING BTW) and wont let me login to review. Thats annoying.

I'm having the same problem, and it's not just iTunes for Windows... it's on both my PC and my MacBook... the App Store insists I "sign in" to write a review or rate an app, (even when I'm already signed in), and then refuses to recognize my password.

    This is very frustrating.

I am having the same problem. I reviewed Treasures of Montezuma and now that I installed iPhone 3.0 the game has slowed to a crawl. I went to sign in to change my review and note that problem and it kept acting like I was putting in the wrong password. I reset and changed my password several times with no luck.

Finally I realized I was able to log in to itunes, I just can't log in to review an app - strange bug. Perhaps related to the servers being overloaded on the iPhone 3.0 software?

I am having the same problem as well - just to add. I have not figured out a way around this. In addition, this problem has been ongoing since before the new iphone software update was available. Anybody out there have any ideas / solutions??

Cuts down on negative app reviews, I suppose...

Anyone tried to review music to see if there is the same problem?

    I answered my own question...

You can't review anything in the iTunes store right now..

Well, I sent the iTunes Store Support group a message stating the problem we're having with doing reviews. They are suppose to reply back to me within 24 hours. I'll post any reply that I receive from them.

I am having the same problem trying to write a GOOD review of the Sirius app. Wonder what's going on.

I just checked and I am still having this issue today. And the review I left with my iPhone didn't make it to the review pages for the app. Other people are leaving reviews so this is a strange problem.

Still haven't heard back from the iTunes support team.

Yes, there must be an issue with the server, because I nor my friend can not write a review on any app. The iTunes keeps asking for a password and never actually moves to the review page! Maybe the new iTunes 8.2 has a problem. Please fix it or yell loud enought that someone fixes it

I'm having problems also. I tried to edit my review because I'm noticing audio "clicks" on a album i recently purchased. (Aventura "The Last" album the last 4 or 5 songs) Another reviewer also mentioned this in a review. I wanted help to warn others.
