contacts and backing them up before a restore...

I would like to back up my contacts (or just move them to another program), do a full restore and set my ipt as new, not restoring from a backup. What program (other than outlook..last resort) can I use to do this? I am using XP, and using IE to keep my bookmarks synched, which is working good. I'd like to do the same with my contacgs aithout having to reinput them all over again.

You should be able to backup your contacts to Outlook or Outlook Express.

Not sure how. I see in the info tab I can select outlook express. However reading the text it seems that it will synch The contacts in outlook to the iPod, which would erase what I have sinse there aren't any there, unless I am confused, which is possible.

I should have said it shows yahoo and google and windows address book. Problem is it only goes from PC to IPOD. Anyway at all to move them off (other than the standard ipod backup), since I want to do a clean restore.
