iPhoto does not see my iPhone 3G (since 3.0) on G5 but does on MacBookPro

I have repaired permissions from start up disk, used Disk Warrior, rebuilt permissions within iPhoto.
My PPC G5 1.8 just will not see my iPhone 3G since I upgraded yesterday to 3.0. iTunes sees it fine.
My MacBook Pro iPhoto sees iPhone as normal. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
