3G S , bluetooth volume, and Jawbone

Has anyone else noticed a significant difference in the volume of a Jawbone or any other headset/earset since upgrading to 3G S?

Just upgraded from 16GB 3G to 32GB 3G S today and after turning volume all the way up on my Jawbone from iPhone and earset, I am noticing volumes much less than on the older device. At times it is a struggle to hear the voice at all...

I'm finding some weird BT behavior between the 3G S and the Jawbone... I'm wondering if other BT users are experiencing the same thing.

My Jawbone frequently beeps like it is connecting to the device despite the fact it already is according to icon on iphone... kind of like it is losing the BT connection and then relinking again <beep>... at times the last number redial <3 hits to the Noise Assassin button> will not work... and the Jawbone seems to shut itself off like it does when there is no BT connection for a specified time.

Also, people have been telling me that my audio is static filled this past day, even after reset on both devices....

I have tried the Jawbone out on other devices and it seems to work fine on BlackBerry and 3G iphone... these issues seem to be unique to the 3G S, as I experienced same flaky behavior with my wife's 3G S...

My Jawbone worked great when I upgraded to 3.0 on my original iPhone on Wednesday (although I also experienced plenty of extra beeps and disconnects that others are describing in this post). Got the 3GS on Friday and cannot pair with Jawbone now. I also have no Voice Control function - doesn't work at all. I've done a complete restore of the 3GS to no avail. I'm headed into the Apple store today for a replacement!

Lumpy - other iPhone has been shutdown completely since 3Gs arrived . . . but thanks. I've now done a complete restore as a "new iPhone" instead of from my previous backups - no luck. Still no Jawbone pairing and no Voice Control functionality. Looks like I'll hold on to my "genius bar" appt for tomorrow and hope they have new 3Gs in stock!

Got it!

I went to the Apple store and couldn't connect the Jawbone to any iPhone. So, I went to the Jawbone website and discovered that once it has been paired with a device it must manually be put back into pairing mode. If you don't, devices looking for it (iPhone) won't discover it.

Jawbone said to put it back into pairing mode I needed to hold down the noise assassin button and talk button at the same time for three seconds (must do this with it off).

Reset it and wham....iPhone found it in about 1 sec. Done.

Cut and paste from the Jawbone site....

(If this is not the first time the Jawbone is being paired, turn off the New Jawbone. Then, hold down the NoiseAssassin™ button and the Talk button at the same time for 3 seconds until the LED indicator light flashes red and white alternately. This will put the Jawbone into Pairing Mode.)

click the link that says "New Jawbone Pairing..." and it is in that short page.

Careful here as I think there are multiple issues here. I have a Jawbone Prime and a Jawbone 2.. The Jawbone 2 never had a problem pairing to my 3g and working normally. It also did not support multipoint.

My Jawbone Prime however will NOT stay connected to my iPhone 3g. I have not tried it since upgrading to the iPhone 3.0 software but the 3g with the 2.2.1 software would actually shut the headset off.

I could never get an answer as to why this would occur so I was hopeful that the 3.0 software would fix it.

From the posts here, I am guessing not.

Wife and I both have Iphone 3G. Both upgraded to OS 3.0. Both use Plantronics Discovery 925 bluetooth headset. And both of us immediately after upgrade noticed that volume on the headset was too low to be understood.

On my phone, I have been successful (somehow) by a combination of soft/hard resetting the phone, switching to airplane mode, and unpairing and re-pairing the bluetooth headset. Mine suddenly started working normally again; unfortunately, I do not know the combination that made it work. My wife's phone however is yet to work.

APPLE, PLEASE FIX THIS BUG!
